Laura Kagan - founder, occupational therapist & yin yoga teacher

Laura believes that each person’s physical, psychological and spiritual path to healing and recovery is unique to them, and that life can be transformed through deep connection to self-awareness.

Laura has a deep interest and affection for adult and youth mental health and wellbeing, honouring rites of passage and empowering those she supports with self-discovery, and deep connection to self and community.

Laura is a dedicated OT and Yoga student and teacher, she embodies what she teaches and is a student of life. She shows up through her genuine and loving support as she helps others navigate the complexities and challenges of the human experience to guide and enable them to explore their unique truths through self-awareness and self-compassion.

Laura founded Luna Therapy to support her desire for a lifestyle that enables balance, flexibility, fulfilment and sustainable wellbeing as she navigates her various meaningful life-roles and occupations. She is currently undertaking a farm-change project, regenerating 20 acres of land and creating a sustainable homestead - one she hopes to share therapeutically when it is ready.

Outside of working with client’s or studying – you’ll find Laura cherishing her three young sons, playing with her animals, in nature, at the gym, on the Yoga mat, writing, reading, sleeping, cooking, travelling, at the beach and spending time with loved family and friends. 

Colleen mann - occupational therapist & yoga teacher

Colleen loves working with young people in the support, management and recovery of their mental health and wellbeing. Colleen is passionate about working with individuals who experience psychosocial disability, with a special interest in neurodiversity and mental health. Through her clinical work and personal experiences she has come to believe in the big impact that small shifts can have.

Colleen loves to work alongside her clients to help them befriend their nervous systems, their sensory systems, and their mind, body, emotions and spirit to feel more empowered in their own skin.

Colleen is curious about the unique way each of us interact with the world around us and aims to provide therapeutic support that ensures everyone has access to environments that enable everybody’s unique strengths to thrive.

Colleen currently provides Telehealth services for Luna Therapy clients. She creates lifestyle balance through engaging in work she loves (OT and teaching Yoga), attending Yoga classes, learning Jui Jitzu, and spending time with loved ones - generally around a table of delicious food, on the beach or surrounded by trees somewhere.

HANNA MERILAINEN - psychologist & YOGA teacher

Hanna is an experienced mental health clinician and Psychologist. She has a passion for supporting individuals and groups to improve their wellbeing, both emotional and physical.

She has gained profound knowledge of the practices and benefits of yoga in healing and treating trauma. She deeply embodies what she teaches and the blend of her extensive psychological studies and incredible breadth of life experiences are a gift to all who work with her.

Hanna is currently based in Byron Bay (NSW), she will be returning to the Mornington Peninsula (VIC) when the time is right, and provides Telehealth services for Luna Therapy clients.

Hanna spends her spare time exploring the world with her two young boys, having fun in 'doing' yoga, and hiking in nature, and she loves wild swimming - the colder the ocean or lake the better!

Hayley Bowers - occupational therapist, yoga teacher & integrative health

Hayley is an occupational therapist and EMDR registered practitioner. Hayley is very passionate about integrative healthcare and treating the root cause of client’s health issues. Hayley has been shaped by her own chronic health and healing journey, which has empowered her to understand the complexities and stressors of a healing journey, giving a lived experience that informs her clinical practice with clients.

This personal experience allows Hayley to deeply connect with her clients, by offering an additional level of perspective and insight that may not be available with other practitioners.  This life experience, in combination with her qualification in Occupational Therapy, has formulated a deeply holistic perspective.

Hayley is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Informed Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training. When Hayley isn’t working or studying, she loves to go to the gym, yoga, beach walks and spending time with her partner, family and her dog Rosie.
