FAQ

How do I refer to Luna Therapy?

Please submit all referrals (by completing the Referral and Intake Form available on the Contact Us page of our website) via email hello@lunatherapy.com.au and/or enquiries via the Contact Us page on our website

Who can refer?

NDIS participants – self-managed participants can self refer, plan-managed participants your support coordinator will refer

Private clients – you can self refer or refer a loved one to our service

Is Luna Therapy NDIS registered?

No, we are not NDIS registered by choice. We only provide services to NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed.

What happens following referral?

NDIS participants - Luna Therapy will work in collaboration with you and/or your support coordinator to develop a Service Agreement specific to the services we will provide to you. The Service Agreement contains information relating to the type of assessment or therapy, how many OT hours are required to be provided and the total costs of the service, as agreed by you. We will then be in touch to arrange an initial appointment.

What are our fees?

NDIS participants - Luna Therapy will invoice you for occupational therapy services and travel time in accordance with the most updated NDIS Price Guide. We carefully monitor any changes to the NDIS Price Guide and we will inform you if we are required to make any changes.

Private clients – Luna Therapy will invoice you for occupational therapy services and travel time at the agreed private rate.

How will we bill you?

Luna Therapy will invoice you directly if you are on a self-managed NDIS plan or your NDIS plan manager if you are on a plan-managed NDIS plan - payment terms set at 7 days.

What does the OT service involve?

Given the unique nature of mental illness, our service differs for all individuals and depends on the reason for referral, and involves face-to-face (direct) services (for example, assessment, interview, intervention etc) at the agreed location and also non face-to-face (non-direct) services (for example, writing assessment reports, scoring and analysing standardised assessments, documentation, interdisciplinary communication, phone and email communications, arranging assistive technology etc).
